What's the different on these“OEM TI ”battery?

Battery BMS flex had Original TI Gas gauge  does not mean the quality is good, there also depends on the different key point.


1.Depends on which program Original TI Gas gauge on it.
  (1)Original IP4/4S battery is using program- 277541 TI Chip.
      Needs an MCU
      Very old TI Chip
      The performance is relatively the worst.
 (2)Original IP5-IP6plus battery is using program-27545 TI Chip.
     Needs an MCU
     Same measurement accuracy as the IPhone5-IPhone6plus/
(3)Original IP8-Xsmax battery is using program-27546 A3 TI Chip.
      Needs an MCU for IPhone 11 and above series.
      Best performaing model amoing 2754 family.
(4)Original IP11-IP15Promax battery is using program-7037 TI Chip.
        100% compatible with IOS system without the need of an MCU.

 So when a seller/company cliam to you their battery is "TI" quality, you better to ask them what TI program they using ?

Except different program TI Gas gauge chip on these bms flex, there are also other materials to determine qualit of battery .
1.The lithium protection Chip + MOS(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor)

The lithium protection Chip + MOS(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) combination plays a protective role (Picture1.)

  (1)overcharge protection.
  (2)over-discharge protection
  (3)over-current protection and short-circuit protection; a good lithium battery can accurately protect the battery from overcharging and over-discharging.

   The smaller the internal resistance of the MOS, the smaller the power consumption is smaller.
  Battery will be heating when the battery is fast-charging, at this time, the charging power is high and the temperature rises,and the quality of the  lithium protection Chip + MOS determines the temperature rise control.
  Premium lithium protection Chip + MOS able control the temperature is lower than 65 °C. (Picture2.)


 Bad lithium protection Chip + MOS could not give good feedback on temperature control, and it'will easily reach to 92°C(Picture3.)
in IPhone13Promax can even reach 120°C(Picture4.).
2.ESD protection
   ESD equipment, or electrostatic discharge equipment, is designed to protect electronic components from damage caused by static electricity.

3.MCU Chip
   Low power consumption ensures battery life. The lower the battery power consumption, the longer the battery life.

3.Resistance Chip
    The smaller the resistance of the resistor, the smaller the power consumption and the smaller the heat.
    The small resistance is require premium Gas gauge to match it , otherwise the accuracy will become worse. It is known that Apple's original protective board uses a 1 milliohm high-precision resistor.
Therefore, the quality of the material basically determines whether the quality of the product can pass the test.
